Ingredients
- 4 (450g) chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 2 tsp Portuguese seasoning mix
- ¼ cup MAGGI Hot Lazenby Worcestershire Sauce
- ½ white onion, diced
- 2 cups white cabbage, shredded
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tin (420g) crushed tomatoes
- Serving suggestion: Savoury rice, Coriander
Method
- In a mixing bowl, add the chicken, 2 tablespoons of MAGGI Hot Lazenby Worcestershire sauce, and the Portuguese seasoning. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Heat a large pan to medium-low heat and add a little cooking oil.
- Add the seasoned chicken and sauté for about 6–8 minutes until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- In the same pan, add a little extra oil, then the onion and cabbage. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until the cabbage softens. Add the peppers and garlic, and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in the tinned tomatoes and the remaining Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 4–5 minutes until the relish thickens slightly. Return the cooked chicken to the pan and stir well.
- Chef’s Tip: Use any quick-cooking veggies from your fridge!
- Serve the hot pot over savoury rice. Garnish with fresh coriander and a splash of extra Worcestershire sauce. Enjoy!
