Ingredients

  • 4 (450g) chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 2 tsp Portuguese seasoning mix
  • ¼ cup MAGGI Hot Lazenby Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ white onion, diced
  • 2 cups white cabbage, shredded
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tin (420g) crushed tomatoes
  • Serving suggestion: Savoury rice, Coriander

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the chicken, 2 tablespoons of MAGGI Hot Lazenby Worcestershire sauce, and the Portuguese seasoning. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
  2. Heat a large pan to medium-low heat and add a little cooking oil.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken and sauté for about 6–8 minutes until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add a little extra oil, then the onion and cabbage. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until the cabbage softens. Add the peppers and garlic, and cook until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the tinned tomatoes and the remaining Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 4–5 minutes until the relish thickens slightly. Return the cooked chicken to the pan and stir well.
  6. Chef’s Tip: Use any quick-cooking veggies from your fridge!
  7. Serve the hot pot over savoury rice. Garnish with fresh coriander and a splash of extra Worcestershire sauce. Enjoy!
